Abismo -Vazio (Signal Rex) $15 SGD / SOLD OUT
Debut release from one-man dark ambient project hailing from Porto, Portugal. Abismo's chilling textures weaves it's symbiotic hairs around you until they become almost comforting and you start nestling into a fetal position and forget the world outside. 6 tracks of soothing hypnotic synths & drones against an ambience of a desolate realm.

Listen - I

Abjvration - The Unquenchable Pyre (Caligari Records) $15 SGD/ SOLD OUT(Available for Pre-Order)
Brutal Death/Doom Metal with pounding punishing riffs and dismal ritual drumming with absolute vile breakdowns and growls from an exorcism. Easily one of my favourite tape releases this year so far.

If you like old school death- Deicide, Incantation, Immolation etc  pick this up.

Listen - The Unquenchable Pyre

Morbosidad - Muerte De Cristo En Golgota (Signal Rex) $15 SGD/ SOLD OUT
Classick Bestial Blackened Death Metal from Oakland,California. These tapes just look evil. Add this to your collection next to your Blasphemy, Black Witchery and all those who worship the Fallen Angel of Doom... not forgetting with all Morbosidad records you'll learn to curse Christianity in Spanish.

Listen - Muerte De Cristo En Golgota

Negative Vortex - Tomb Absolute (Caligari Records)$15 SGD / / SOLD OUT(Available for Pre-Order)
These guys are keeping the Oakland Bay Area metal scene in battle mode. Death-doom guitars that pay homage to their hometown predecessors, ghoul-like vocals that show no remorse, shock wave drumming & frantic blast-beats and a recording that is less than polished gives this EP a visceral sounding tour of the depths.

Listen-Tomb absolute

Ouroboros - Invoking the Past (Signal Rex) $15 SGD/ SOLD OUT
A cult classic from the 90s, Canada's Ouroboros were at the helm alongside the Rossbay Cult advocates, shame they broke up in 2007 but not before releasing this compilation. Raw, primitive & pure evil.

Limited to 100 professional cassettes, in A5- layout/poster + cover artwork as a 10/8 woven patch by the good folks at Signal Rex.

Listen - The hammer speaks

LPs -

Cowards - Rise to Infamy (Throatruiner Records) $25 SGD

The French metallic hardcore scene is definitely the place you want to keep an eye on if you enjoyed the heyday of bands like Coalesce, Kiss it Goodbye, Botch etc..

Cowards are one of my current guilty pleasures with their brand of metallic hardcore, heavy as fuck sludge breakdowns, smart, noisy and catchy guitar riffs with tortured vocals and tinge of discordant black metal.

 Listen - Shame along shame

Chasms - Subtle Bodies (Sleep Genius) $30 SGD

San Francisco duo that effortlessly seduces you with sultry vocals, industrial beats and fuzzed out shoegaze ambience.

7 Song compilation 12"LP on milky clear vinyl that features all their cassette releases and 1 new song

I've read their influences range from Slowdive,Cocteau Twins, Burzum & Grouper. You know this!

Infernal War - Axiom - 12'' LP + Booklet (Agonia) $35 SGD

Can't recommend this enough.. Brutal and unforgiving from start to end. Those who are unfamiliar to Infernal War will be kicking themselves for not getting into them earlier after this record.

With Axiom being their 3rd Studio Album, Infernal War does not disappoint , still keeping the intensity of past releases such as Redesekration and Conflagrator. Like an initiation rite you'll have to endure the sheer terror that is Infernal War to appreciate their harsh and punishing form of Black Metal.  For Fans of Azarath, Urgehal, Hell Militia. Listen - No forgiveness

Infernal War - Axiom - 12'' Die-Cut Pic LP + Booklet (Agonia)  $38 SGD

Limited to 300. A soundtrack to a massacre.

Pig Heart Transplant - For Mass Consumption (Iron Lung) $25 SGD

"Pig Heart Transplant is the alter ego of Jon Kortland, one half of the men that comprise the surgical Powerviolence duo Iron Lung. Like Iron Lung, Pig Heart Transplant delivers both a vicious beating and violent outcome, however the operating methodology is an entirely different animal; slow, churning, industrial, electronic, painfully percussive, a bureaucratic nightmare of State Power with gears grinding the individual into a hallow shell, perfectly molded into one of Them. This is 1984.
For Mass Consumption is composed of 28 tracks, each approximately 44 seconds long, each song title a 4 letter word, structured in a perfectly palatable way for optimum group adoption and mindless adherence to common purpose. Electronic manipulation, no wave guitar noise, abrasive hammering and eerie synthetic ambience imbue the listener with the seedy malaise of manipulation on a societal scale. One might recognize the pulverizing brutality of early Swans on tracks like ‘Film’ or ‘Pigs’, the pulsing throb of Brighter Death Now and IRM on ‘Coma’ or even Robert McNaugton’s soundtrack work for Henry: Portrait Of Serial Killer on ‘1970’ or ‘1980’.
Without doubt a horrifying work of aural terror, For Mass Consumption is the logical result of a culture bent on banal conformity and the futile struggle against its domination."-Iron Lung.

Listen - Born

Pyramids - A Northern Meadow (Profound Lore) $45 SGD

Pyramids are titans in the world of post-this- post-that, from ambient to drone to Black Metal and Shoegaze.A Northern Meadow is an assault on the senses.. beautiful angelic singing coupled with buzzing black metal riffs of some unearthly scale and they've some what managed to put in more thought into their drum programming this time around. Good Stuff.

Fans of Blut Aus Nord, Nadja & Locrian.

Listen- The Earth Melts into Red Gashes like Mouths of Whales

Taurus - No/Thing (Devout) $36 SGD

A deeply disturbing spiritual experience. Taurus are STEVIE FLOYD of DARK CASTLE and ASHLEY SPUNGIN formerly of PURPLE RHINESTONE EAGLE.
The duo carve out some heavy, hypnotic and captivating in a trance-like manner kind of dark psychadelic doom/drone! These high priestesses of doom and gloom are back with their follow-up LP from 2012's Life, this record features a guest appearence by Wrest of Leviathan.

Listen - no/thing longing,human impermanence
Taurus - Life (Devout) $32 SGD

2 Song each spanning an average of 15 minutes, enough time to contemplate your existence in the mirror while marveling at the power of Taurus.

Theologian - Some things have to be endured (Crucial Blast) $36 SGD

NY's Black Industrial Synth Ghoul, Theologian releases one of his most sought after releases to date. "Some things have to be endured" is a collaboration of Leech aka Theologian and several female vocalists from the industrial/noise scene from Hecate to Sewer Goddess.

This beast cuts through your soul and devours it with synth crushing undertones and dark electronic melodies, lurking vocals and ghastly ambience make this record a true gem.

Limited 500 with new artwork
Listen - Grand Guignol

Vermin Womb - Permanence (Throatruiner Records) $28 SGD

Vermin Womb is a new project of Ethan Lee Mc Carty (guitar/vocals of Primitive Man). This band is deadly mix of unrelentless grind and underworld sludge, features some of the heaviest guitar tones I've heard in awhile.

Watch out for this one.
